Shingo-kun joined the agency in December 1996. As a kansai Jr. he got the nickname “Hina”, which was chosen after actress Hinagata Akiko because the other juniors thought he looked like her. He seems to get aggravated easily and is known to hit people on the head if teased, which happens quite often since he has a very unique style of clothing and he is particularly picky when it comes to type of girls he likes. His abs are always something to talk about since he trains a lot.
In 2004, after a lot of hard work and rough times, he got to debut as the purple ranger of 関ジャ二∞. He is often the one in charge of the MCs with 横山祐 -Yokoyama Yuu-. Since the release of 8UPPERS, Hina is in charge of playing the piano during presentations and recordings.
